Distract yourself from the everyday, turn a different corner, let your mind escape, and see what you find.

Be Happy

Over the past year I have noticed that I have focused a lot on what makes me happy as individual, what makes my friends and family happy, and what could make us happier. The documentary by Roko Belic shined some light on the subject, Happy is a beautiful documentary leaving me to want more examples and understanding of being happy.

Many of the studies they point out come to quite an obvious conclusion, but to hear it stated as fact, makes it all the more real that happiness is out there! What stuck with me, are the facts below. But there is nothing better than actually watching the documentary for yourself.

- 50% of happiness is in your genetic make up, 40% intentional activity things you do for your self & others, and only 10% is social status, money, where you live, age.

-After studying some of the happiest people in the world each of them had a close supportive group of friends and family (without a doubt!).

-Intrinsic goals make one happier (personal growth, relationships, community feeling) then Extrinsic goals (money, image, status).

Go after it!

I have always strived to push myself out of my comfort zone from time to time and never have I regretted the choice to do so. Those decisions weren’t always the most pleasant of times, but I always learned something, discovered something in myself, or gained something great out of the experience. As I get older I find it harder to take risks and ultimately step out of your comfort zone but these words remind me that those were the decisions and moments that I continually tell stories about, lead me to where I am today, and make me feel alive.

When was the last time you stepped out of your comfort zone?

Tory Time

When I walked through the doors of the TORY BURCH offices for the first time, I was in awe of the colors, energy, and the fun chicness the decor emulated. Today I would be introduced to Tori herself. Already hearing great things about her, I was excited to form my own opinion. Being presented as a potential fit model it always a sensitive and intimate meet n greet with the designers.
