Yesterday was quite the celebration! Kentucky Derby & Cinco De Mayo! Not normally a collaboration of events, the combination made for a fancy colorful occasion throughout the streets of New York City and beyond. Not knowing where I was headed for the day I tried to create an ensemble that would please both, the formal attire of the Derby, with big hats and heels, and the colorful fiesta of the fifth of May.

Ending up at La Flaca (a local mexican restaurant), I enjoyed all the flavors of the Cinco De Mayo while watching the Derby on the tube. It was the ideal place to be and even better it was my lucky day. “I’ll have another” was my horse! Proving everyday that asking for seconds is not a bad thing!
